It’s almost two years now since two intrepid Yorkshire women founded this amazing cycling club whose growth and success would not have been possible without the enthusiasm and skills of a growing number of members who have volunteered to take or create a number of Committee and volunteer roles.
With almost 90 members, we want to encourage and support as many of you as possible to play a part in the continued success and growth of this club. Do you have an enthusiasm for taking on or helping with any of the following committee or volunteer roles?
- Chair Person
- Vice Chair person
- Media, Marketing and Membership Secretary
- Ride co-ordinator
- Kit Secretary
- Welfare Officer
- Social events co-ordinator
- Charity/fundraising co-ordinator
Lots of these roles could be shared between two or more people. Some roles you could ‘shadow’ and stand for a future year.
If anything here catches your eye, please have an informal chat with Jackie Kirkman – Founder member and Chairperson of Yorkshire Rose Cycling Club. She will give you information on any of these roles, or talk to you about any skills or ideas you have. We would like to have see what interest there is by 5 April to help us prepare for the AGM when all of these roles will be voted in.
Don’t be shy, all current volunteers will be fully supportive and make sure that you really enjoy working alongside each other for the good of your cycling club.
